FAQ
Product & Hardware
What is the H100?
The H100 is a research-grade, non-medical EEG wearable designed for labs, universities, and developers who require high-quality neural data with full access to raw signals and APIs.
What makes the H100 suitable for research?
- Patented Hybrid EEG electrodes for research-grade EEG signal acquisitions.
- Low-noise sensor design
- Bluetooth wireless connectivity to mobile, tablet, or laptop
- Research SDKs and APIs
- Ideal for BCI applications.
- Integrated PPG and IMU sensors – enabling multimodal research on brain, heart, and motion.
- Very comfortable form factors and electrode mounting
- Smart algorithms for EEG and PPG data acquisition suitable for outdoor activities.
- Support for real-time streaming and third-party integrations.
- High sampling rate (model-dependent)
How many electrodes does the H100 have?
The H100 includes eight dry EEG sensors arranged in an optimized montage for cognitive, attention, workload, and general-purpose EEG measurement.
Is the H100 dry or wet electrode-based?
H100 uses patented hybrid electrodes requiring no gels. This makes it suitable for rapid deployment, classroom research, real-time demos, and large participant throughput.
What is the sampling rate?
250 Hz
What is the battery life?
Battery life ranges from 4–5 hours of continuous streaming, depending on sampling rate and connection mode.
How accurate is the EEG signal?
The H100 is not a clinical device, but it provides a high-quality EEG comparable to that of other research-grade wearable systems. Independent validation packets are available upon request.
Research Workflow & Data Access
What data formats can I export?
The research app + SDKs support:
- CSV
- LSL stream (desktop SDK)
Do you provide raw EEG?
Yes — full raw EEG access is available in real time or via device logs.
Is there preprocessing applied?
By default, raw EEG is provided without filters. Optional band-pass filters (1–45 Hz) can be enabled in the SDK.
Can I access timestamps or event markers?
Yes — precise timestamps, event tags, and custom markers are available through the SDK.
Can I stream data to MATLAB or Python notebooks?
Yes. Support includes:
- Example MATLAB pipelines
- Python SDK
- LSL (Lab Streaming Layer)
Does the H100 support multi-device synchronization?
Yes. The SDK allows synchronization via:
- System timestamps
- Software alignment
- Optional hardware sync (depending on lab setup)
Software, Apps & SDKs
Which platforms are supported?
- Python
- Node.js
- iOS / Android
- macOS / Windows
- LSL-based tools like OpenViBE, BCILAB, EEGLAB
Does it integrate with Unity or Unreal Engine?
Yes, integration for Unity and Unreal is possible. Integration examples for Unity (C#) are included in the developer documentation. Integration examples for Unreal (C++) will be made available in the future.
What documentation is available?
- API references
- Sample pipelines for signal processing
- Real-time visualization demos
Data Privacy & Ethics
Is participant data stored on your servers?
No. All data stays on the researcher’s device or their storage environment.
Is IRB approval required?
Not inherently. Approval depends entirely on the researcher’s study design, participant population, and institutional guidelines.
Can minors participate in studies with H100?
Yes — provided the researcher’s IRB or ethics board approves the study.
Does the H100 collect personal identifiers?
No. The device does not collect GPS, biometrics, or personally identifiable information.
Does hair affect EEG readings?
Hair can reduce contact. Part hair under the sensors and tighten the strap to improve contact quality.
Research Applications
What kinds of studies is the H100 useful for?
- Cognitive load
- Workload & attention
- Behavior & perception
- Neuroergonomics
- Classroom/field research
- Rapid prototyping of BCI applications
- ML model training with EEG data
- And many more depending on your exploration
Is it suitable for long-duration studies?
Yes, many researchers use it for multi-hour continuous monitoring.
Can I use it for sleep research?
It is possible for light sleep studies, but not intended for clinical sleep staging.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes — the H100 is designed for mobile research environments. However, motion and environmental noise may affect signal quality.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
What should I do if the signal quality is low?
- Ensure electrodes are correctly seated
- Reduce participant movement
- Tighten/adjust the fit
- Move away from electrical noise sources
The device won’t pair — what are the steps?
- Verify Bluetooth is enabled
- Close other apps connected to H100
- Check battery level
- Reset the device (instructions in manual)
How do I clean the sensors?
Use a cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth. Avoid alcohol or abrasive cleaners.
